This VW Tiguan 5N kit contains everything you need to swap your old, blacked-out projectors for powerful new bi-xenon HID projectors. Using the exact same mounting points, it makes retrofitting quick and easy. And, most importantly, it will take your Tiguan to the next level – just check out the test pictures! This is way beyond what the majority of OEM projectors can achieve.
The Optimus is an incredibly bright bi-xenon projector, enabling you to use D2S and D2H bulbs, including the most powerful options from Osram and Philips. Available bulb colour temperatures range from 4300K to 6500K. You will literally outshine the competition. The crystal-clear 3.0-inch lens throws a wide low beam with a bright hotspot and sharp cutoff. As for the high beam? It’s like the sun. And because only the projector is replaced, the leveling system keeps working as original.
You can use the ballasts that you’ve already got, simply leave them in place. A high beam splitter is also included, making for easy integration of the bi-xenon mechanism. With the Aharon ballasts and wiring, power supply is strong, steady and reliable.
Lastly, this kit provides every single part that you will need for retrofitting. In order to keep the price low, we have however assumed that you will keep your existing xenon HID bulbs. Depending on how old those are, you may want to also order a new set of bulbs to get the most out of your retrofitted system. Xenon bulbs do lose up to 70% of their maximum brightness over time.

Installation
This is a very advanced retrofit; as opposed to most of our kits, this one does require ample experience to be installed. Discounting removal and replacement of the headlights, a skilled retrofitter could expect the job to take a full day.
Installation requires for the VW Tiguan 5N headlights to be opened. This is easier said than done due to the rock-solid permaseal employed. You can look forward to several joyful hours, just opening the headlights. On the other hand, once you’ve succeeded doing so, installation of the new projectors, bulbs and ballasts is very straightforward. At the end of the day, we’re sure that you’ll agree that it was all worth the effort.
