GENERAL

• Outer Shell PB-cLc2: Arai’s Peripherally Belted Complex Laminate Construction greatly increases shell strength and flexibility while maintaining low weight and a lower centre of gravity. Positioned across the top of the eye port, this band contributes to the use of a thinner EPS liner which greatly enhances the upward field of view. A specially designed “mechanically expanded fibre mat”, sandwiched between the inner and outer layers of Arai’s proprietary Super Fibre Laminates, is used to reinforce and bond these two Super Fibre layers without adding significant weight to the helmet. The latest “Z-Mixture” resins increases material adhesion requiring less resin for a stronger bond between materials for a thinner and lighter shell
• Innovative Peak: The MX-V EVO’s peak forces air into the forehead vent ports for cooling while at the same time using multiple relief-ports to reduce helmet lifting at higher speeds

VENTILATION

• MX-V EVO Ventilation: Easy to clean diffusers create a strong venturi vacuum at the rear with a centre top vent for increased airflow. Under-peak air intakes collect and direct cool air into the helmet. An inner chin vent shutter prevents debris coming into the helmet in dusty riding conditions. Lower side vents also help with hot air extraction for a cooler ride

FRONT VENTILATION

• Centre Top Vent - Intake: Intake and exhaust duct on the front part of the helmet. The inlet allows generous amounts of cool, fresh air to enter the helmet, while the exhaust function of the front duct helps to quickly dispose hot, warm air from the helmet’s interior
• Inner Chin (Bar) Vent Shutter: Open and close the chin bar vents from the inside to prevent debris coming into the helmet in dusty riding conditions

REAR VENTILATION

• Removable Three-Piece Rear Exhaust: Creates a tremendous amount of venturi vacuum at the rear. Can be easily removed (for cleaning) or replacement
• Side Exhausts: Produce low pressure behind the rear vent for better hot air extraction. Integrated in the shell for better aerodynamics, reduce wind noise and prevent buffeting at speed. Inside, a small foam dam helps to absorb and diminish excessive noise, without reducing ventilation performance

INTERIOR

• Dry-Cool® Liner: Arai's Dry-Cool® material transfers heat and moisture away from the rider quickly and efficiently
• Replaceable Cheek Pads / Ear Cups: Cheek pads/ear cups may be easily removed. All parts (replaceable or not) can be cleaned with lukewarm water and mild soap. Rinse well after cleaning, blot dry with a towel and let air dry completely before reassembly. Never machine wash or use heat to dry. Interior parts in different size thickness are available for a custom fit for every rider
• Replaceable Interior: The complete interior may be easily removed. All parts (replaceable or not) can be cleaned with lukewarm water and mild soap. Rinse well after cleaning and never dry in direct sunlight or near a heat source. Interior parts in different size thickness are available for a custom fit for every rider
• Replaceable Chinstrap Covers: All parts (replaceable or not) can be cleaned with lukewarm water and mild soap. Rinse well after cleaning and never dry in direct sunlight or near a heat source. Interior parts in different size thickness are available for a custom fit for every rider
• Replaceable Neckroll: All parts (replaceable or not) can be cleaned with lukewarm water and mild soap. Rinse well after cleaning and never dry in direct sunlight or near a heat source. Interior parts in different size thickness are available for a custom fit for every rider
• Speaker Pockets: Build in communication systems are popular, but the problem is often that the room for a speaker is limited or just not present, causing unpleasant pressure points. The speaker pockets, offering room for mounting speakers without effecting comfort or fit. (Speaker not included)
• Facial Contour System (FCS): To offer an even better snug fit and enhancing the comfort to the lower jaw, the Facial Contour System (FCS) works with a foam spring support in the cheek pad that compresses and rebounds, providing the necessary support without excessive pressure
• 5mm “Peel Away“ Cheek Pads / Ear Cups: Giving even more ability to craft the perfect fit and comfort, the cheek pads feature a 5 mm peel away layer for added room if needed
• 5mm “Peel Away“ Temple Pad: Arai´s peel-away temple crown pads give the option of 5 mm more interior width if needed

COMFORT

• Emergency Release System (ERS): Allows easier access to an injured rider. By pulling the orange tabs integrated in the pads, the cheek pads slide out. Making helmet removal easier for trained medical personnel and rescuers. Minimising the risk of additional injury
• Breath Guard: Works in conjunction with the dual-pivot® chin vent to better direct fresh air to the inside surface of the shield while at the same time directing hot breath down and away from the inside surface of the shield
• Goggle Band Guidance: The eye-opening side trim design combined with the side and rear exhaust vents work to prevent the band from slipping up or down even during hard riding

APPROVAL

• ECE R22-06: ECE R22-06 requires a much more stringent testing process than the previous ECE R22-05 and includes an oblique test to measure rotation
