The Gen 3 Tire & Accessory Carrier from Paramount Automotive allows Jeep Wrangler JK owners the freedom to take all of their gear with them, stow it securely and safely, arrange it according to their individual needs, and do it all while relieving weight and stress from the body of the Jeep. Paramount Automotive started by moving the weight of the spare tire and accessories off of the Jeep's tailgate and mounting them to their heavy-duty rear bumper. Next, they designed a robust mechanism that allows the entire apparatus to open and close in tandem with the tailgate, to maintain the convenience of one-handed, single-action operation. They designed the spare tire mounting brackets to be configurable, so Jeep owners can run it in either the traditional vertical configuration or, for rigs with fastback tops or running topless, in the extreme high-clearance, 45-degree angled configuration. For those who venture far and wide, an array of Rotopax fluid cans (not included) may be configured in either a high or low mounting position. There are also provisions for mounting a high lift jack and CB radio antenna. An ingenious mounting solution for relocating the license plate, brake light, and backup camera to the center of the spare tire works in either tire mounting position. All components are constructed of high-strength CNC laser-cut steel.
